The spark for Salto came from realizing that these challenges have many similarities to challenges that DevOps professionals are facing on a daily basis. And if the challenges are similar, we realized that their solutions can be similar as well.
Instead of re-inventing the wheel, we borrowed tested and proven practices and tools from the software development world and applied them to the process of business app configuration. We believe that these solutions will help business operations teams to leapfrog to the future of this space, a reality of unprecedented efficiencies, accuracy and scale.
Salto’s founders are the people behind Pentacom (acquired by Cisco), Qumranet/KVM (acquired by Red Hat), and Ravello Systems (acquired by Oracle). In their previous startups, they disrupted virtualization and the way organizations transition into public cloud usage. With Salto, they are aiming to transform the world of business operations.
